Frequently asked questions about ALL WAYS
Clear questions. Straight answers.
How QR-based flow management works, what the public sees, what data we collect and what you receive after the event.
The service
What is ALL WAYS?
ALL WAYS is a service by 9 P.M. srl, based in Milan, for crowd flow management and security at major events. It guides every person with a QR code, from the car park to the entrance gate and back, and measures real flows in real time. The same service includes weapon-detection security gates and anti-drone systems.
What events is it designed for?
For events with large crowds and complex traffic: motorsport, concerts and festivals, sports events, religious and institutional events, air shows, trade fairs and city events. We work with organisers, municipalities and public bodies, racetracks, stadiums and venues, police and Civil Protection.
Which events has it already been used at?
The Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix at Monza (September 2026): three days, several municipalities involved, over 60,000 scans from 20,000 devices, 22 parking areas and 20 walking routes.
The Ultimo concert at Tor Vergata, Rome (July 2026): 250,000 attendees, 110,000 scans, 30 car parks and 40 walking routes, with 250,000 people leaving at the same time.
Can the system handle peak arrivals?
Yes. At Monza the peak exceeded 25 scans per second, at Tor Vergata it reached 55 scans per second. Neither event had a single service outage.
Do you also provide access control and drone protection?
Yes. For entrances we provide weapon-detection security gates, which screen people together with their backpacks and bags. For the airspace we provide the C.D.D. anti-drone system, which detects drones, tracks their flight and locates the pilot.
For the public
Does the public need to install an app?
No. The QR code works straight from the phone camera, with nothing to install. Those who want more can download the QRGo app for iOS and Android, with a pass to save in their Wallet.
How does the QR code work, step by step?
Scan. The QR code on the totem, the ticket or the parking pass identifies the area you are in, not the person.
Follow. A walking route to the right gate opens, or driving directions to the assigned car park with Waze or Google Maps.
Measure. Every scan becomes aggregated data by area and by hour: arrivals, departures and route load, in real time.
Where are the QR codes?
On totems along the routes, on tickets and on parking passes. Each QR code matches a specific area of the event.
Can the QR code carry the event's branding?
Yes: the event's colours, shapes and logo. The QR code stays readable by any phone.
Does it also work on the way out?
Yes. The service guides the public both in and out: at the exit it shows the route to their car park and starts navigation on Waze or Google Maps.
Traffic and maps
What does being a Google Maps and Waze for Cities partner mean?
We are a Google Maps partner and, since 2024, a partner of the Waze for Cities programme, which connects authorities and events with the Waze community. Event closures, detours and routes reach the two most used navigation apps.
How do road closures get onto the maps?
We turn the traffic order into closures published on Waze and Google Maps. Drivers are rerouted before they reach the roadblock, and the closures stay live on the map for the whole event.
Is the public guided to the right car park?
Yes. The QR code starts navigation to the assigned car park with Waze or Google Maps, and after the event the exit routes take everyone back to their own parking area.
Data and privacy
Do you collect personal data from the public?
No. QR codes identify areas, not people. No name or contact details are asked to find your way, and the data collected is aggregated by area and by hour, in line with the GDPR.
How are connections protected?
Visitor app, Staff app, dashboard and Event Map talk to the server only over encrypted channels. Connections use TLS 1.3 with 256-bit AES encryption, with a new key for every connection. Old protocol versions (TLS 1.0 and 1.1) are rejected, the certificate renews automatically and anyone arriving over http is moved straight to https.
What does the organiser receive after the event?
A report on real flows, with arrival curves area by area, which parking areas feed which entrances, travel times measured in the field and route load. It is the basis for the safety plan, for mobility and for sizing gates and staff at the next edition.
Can flows be followed during the event?
Yes. Every scan is aggregated in real time, and staff see arrivals, departures and route load while the event is under way.
